Employee with COVID-19 infection dies

At 8:00 a.m. on November 28, 2020, an employee who worked as a sales representative for a vehicle dealership died from COVID-19. Prior to his death, the employee sold new and used cars at the retail level. On November 14, 2020, the employee was feeling ill and went for a COVID-19 test. On November 19, 2020, the employee received notification that his test result was positive. The employee's last day in the workplace was November 11, 2020. On November 27, 2020, the employee was hospitalized due to complications from COVID-19. Due to this case being reported, the employer also reported that a total of 9 employees had tested positive for COVID-19 during a one-month period. The employer did not have an effective COVID-19 Prevention Program in place.
