Employee with COVID-19 infection dies

At approximately noon on November 25, 2020, an employee who worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant in a Skilled Nursing Facility died from COVID-19. The employer stated that the employee's illness was not related to work and her husband tested positive for COVID-19 prior to her illness. The employee's husband worked for a different employer and the facility where he worked had a COVID-19 outbreak. On November 3, 2020, the employee was tested and the results came back positive on November 4, 2020. The employee began quarantine at home on that date. On November 10, 2020, the employee had been admitted to the hospital. Information regarding engineering, administrative and personal protective equipment controls for COVID-19 are not included in the narrative.
