Employee with COVID-19 infection dies

An employee worked as a Field Laborer for a farm. On September 27, 2020, the employee tested positive for COVID-19 and was initially quarantined in the COVID-19 positive wing of the farm labor living quarters before being hospitalized on that same date. On October 22, 2020, the employee was retested, which returned a negative result, but he returned to the hospital and died at 4:15 p.m. on October 30, 2020 from complications of COVID-19, specifically pneumonia in both lungs. The employee was placed on a ventilator prior to his death, but the date he was ventilated is not indicated in the narrative. On August 26, 2020, the employee had tested 183 of the employee's coworkers who previously tested negative. On August 31, 2020, the employer received a report that 35 of the cowkers tested positive. Information regarding engineering, administrative and personal protective equipment controls for COVID-19 are not included in the narrative.
