Event: 10/28/2020
Four Employees contracted COVID-19, One is hospitalized and

On October 28, 2020, an employee who worked as a health aide at an adult care facility was hospitalized with COVID-19. On October 19, 2020, the employee had worked with a patient who tested positive for COVID-19 on November 3, 2020. On November 20, 2020, the employee died of complications from COVID-19. Three coworkers who had worked with that same patient also tested positive for COVID-19 between November 5, 2020 and November 7, 2020. All of the coworkers recovered satisfactorily. The narrative does not indicate if the three coworkers required hospitalization. Two of the coworkers and the family members of the employee stated that the employer had satisfactory measures in place to mitigate the spread of COVID-19. The employee required masking, social distancing where practical and had set up sanitization stations in the facility as well as making sanitizer available to employees.
