STRUCK BY FALLING BUNDLE OF ROOF TRUSSES

AT APPROXIMATELY 11:10 AM ON MAY 14, 1985, EMPLOYEE #1 WAS PREPARING TO WRITE THE CUSTOMER'S NAME ON A BUNDLE OF COMPLETED ROOF TRUSSES. A BUNDLE OF 50 FOOT LONG SPANNED TRUSSES SLID OFF THE TRUSS BUGGY AND STRUCK EMPLOYEE #1 IN THE BACK OF THE HEAD. HE WAS PINNED AGAINST THE CONCRETE FLOOR. HE WAS TAKEN TO THE CHARLOTTE MEMORIAL HOSPITAL, WHERE HE WAS PRONOUNCED DEAD AT 3:35 PM.
