Investigation Summary
An employee was working in a health practitioner's office. She had been caring for nursing home residents during an outbreak of COVID-19 at the facility. The outbreak included workers who were not assigned to the facility's COVID-19 unit. On October 13, 2020, the employee tested positive and went home sick. She was admitted to the hospital on October 19, 2020. At approximately 6:08 p.m. on November 9, 2020, she died, due to complications associated with the COVID-19 virus.
