Employee with COVID-19 infection dies

An employee was working as a certified nursing assistant (CNA) in a nursing care or skilled nursing facility. She provided screening services and patient care. She was exposed to patients with who were infected with COVID-19. She herself contracted COVID-19, and she was admitted to the hospital on October 21, 2020. At 7:00 p.m. on October 29, 2020, she died due to complications of COVID-19. The employer did not have an official cause of death or a copy of the death certificate.
