On October 5, 2020, the Cal-OSHA Foster City District Office was notified by the employer, Safeway, of a fatality to one of their employees that occurred on October 4, 2020. On October 16, 2020, an inspection with the employer was initiated. He died due to COVID-19 complications on October 4, 2020.
