EXPOSURE TO 1,1,1 TRICHLOROETHANE

ALL 40 EMPLOYEES WERE EXPOSED INDIRECTLY TO 1,1,1 TRICHLOROETHANE. SOME BECAME LIGHTHEADED AND DIZZY. BECAUSE OF SYMPTOMS, THE EMPLOYEES WERE TAKEN TO THE HOSPITAL TO BE EXAMINED. ALL BUT THREE WERE EXAMINED AND RELEASED. THE THREE WERE HELD DUE TO PREDISPOSING FACTORS. THE EMPLOYEES WERE EXPOSED TO THE SOLVENT FOR ONLY A BRIEF PERIOD OF TIME WHILE ON BREAK.
