Employee with COVID-19 infection dies

An employee arrived for her work shift in the security lights assembly department, completed the company's screening, and was at the morning shift change brief when she stated that she wasn't feeling well. The employer sent her home with instructions to self quarantine and get tested for COVID-19. The employee's symptoms worsened and she was admitted to a local hospital on September, 2, 2020. The employer kept in regular contact with the employee during her hospitalization. On September 30, 2020 the employee died due to complications related to her COVID19 infection. The employer's contact tracing determined that the employee did not have any close contact with other employees in the days prior to becoming ill. The employer did not have any other employees test positive connected to this COVID-19 case. The employer reported that the employee attended a family get together the weekend prior to becoming ill.
