Investigation Summary
An employee was working as a machine operator for a manufacturer of measuring and controlling devices. His last day at work was July 28, 2020. He felt ill, and he left work. On August 1, 2020, he was tested for COVID-19. On August 3, 2020, he received the results. They were positive, and he was hospitalized. He was discharged. He was readmitted on September 22, 2020. On October 5, 2020, he died. That same day, his daughter notified the employer of the death. Other workers in the same building tested positive for COVID-19. A maintenance employee who worked in the same building tested positive. Among the employer's workers, nine tested positive in June, four in July, and one in August.
