Investigation Summary
An employee was working for a light fixture manufacturing facility and left work with no COVID-19 symptoms. The next day on September 12, 2020, the employee began having a slight cough and was tested for COVID-19. The test returned positive the following day and the employee notified the employer who shut down the facility for sanitizing. The employee was hospitalized on September 19, due to worsening fever, cough, and shortness of breath. The employee died on September 30, 2020, due to COVID-19-related pneumonia.
