Employee with COVID-19 infection dies

An employee was working as a seasonal worker supervisor on a farm. The employee worked in the asparagus packing facility until his last day of work on June 15, 2020. The employee was sent home to quarantine after reporting that he had chills and wasn't feeling well. On June 21, 2020, the employee reported to the a local hospital emergency room where he tested positive for COVID-19. The employee was subsequently transferred to another hospital, where he died at 9:56 a.m. on July 28, 2020, due to complications from COVID-19 pneumonia.
