Investigation Summary
At 8:28 a.m. on September 22, 2020, an employee was collecting trash while his coworker was driving the garbage truck that the employee was loading. The coworker placed the vehicle in reverse in order to back into an alley while the employee was positioned on the rear side step. The employee was caught between a utility pole and the vehicle crushing him. He suffered head and body blunt force trauma and was killed.
