Employee with COVID-19 infection dies

On July 29, 2020, Employee # 1, a dietary aide, had her last day at work. Her job duties included cooking meals, washing dishes, and rolling silverware. During the COVID-19 pandemic, it was required for all dietary staff to wear a face covering or surgical mask while performing work tasks. Employee # 1 called into work on July 30, 2020, and said she felt badly and had a temperature. On August 1, 2020, she went to the hospital. She was tested for COVID-19 and a positive diagnosis was confirmed thereafter. She was discharged from the hospital on August 2, 2020, and she died in her home due to an aneurism on August 14, 2020.
