Investigation Summary
At 1:00 p.m. on September 9, 2020, an employee and two coworkers were engaged in site clearing for a new pool. A coworker was operating a Bobcat Skid Loader to move two steel beams, weighing approximately 800-1,000 pounds each from the pool site to a place against the back fence. The employee was placing 4-inch by 4-inch wood boards underneath the beams, to support the weight when the load fell. The employee was pinned by the load against the ground. The coworkers used the skid loader to lift the beams and wood board off of the employee. The employee was declared dead on the scene by emergency service personnel.
