Employee fractures and lacerates leg in fall from ladder dur

At 1:45 p.m. on September 3, 2020, an employee working as a laborer for a construction contractor was installing soldier pile wall beams on the hill side of a roadway. The crew had set an I-beam inside a hole utilizing rigging. The employee leaned an extension ladder against the beam preparing to access the top to remove the rigging. Two coworkers were holding the ladder in place while the employee was climbed the ladder. The employee was approximately 4 to 5 feet up the ladder when the beam move causing the ladder and employee to fall to the ground. The employee was hospitalized to treat a fracture and laceration to his leg.
