Two employees with COVID-19 infection die, five are hospital

The worksite was a general medical and surgical hospital. Employee #1 was a senior healthcare analyst who worked full time in the utilization management department and was hospitalized on May 28, 2020, and subsequently died on June 4, 2020, of COVID-19. Employee #2 was a registered nurse who worked full time in the emergency room and used a surgical mask while treating patients but was hospitalized on June 24, 2020, for COVID-19. Employee #3 was a contract physician who wore an N95 while working in the emergency room and who was hospitalized for COVID-19 on December 8, 2020. Employee #4 worked as a housekeeping attendant and on December 10, 2020, was hospitalized for COVID-19. Employee #5 was a contract physician who worked in the emergency room and wore an N95 while treating patients but was hospitalized on December 12, 2020, for COVID-19 and subsequently died on December 30, 2020. Employee #6 was a housekeeping attendant who wore an N95 while performing housekeeping duties while working in the emergency room but was hospitalized for COVID-19 on December 19, 2020. Employee #7 was a clinical assistant who wore an N95 while working in the emergency room but was hospitalized for COVID-19 on January 24, 2021.
