Investigation Summary
An employee was working for a farm labor contractor. The employee provided shared transportation, in the form of a passenger bus, to workers at housing, fields, and other locations. The employee's last day of work was June 25, 2020, and he was exhibiting symptoms then. He was tested on the following day, June 26, 2020. The results came back positive on June 29, 2020. The employee was admitted to the hospital on June 30, 2020. He died on July 18, 2020, as a result of COVID-19. A representative of the employer reported the incident to the local DOSH office via telephone on August 21, 2000.
