Employee with COVID-19 infection dies

At approximately 12:54 a.m. on August 9, 2020, an employee. was a light housekeeper who mainly performed laundry duties at long-term care (skilled nursing home) facility that housed residents who were COVID-19 positive. She also performed cleaning (housekeeping) duties on occasion. The employee last went to work on July 27, 2020, and did housekeeping. The employee had a fever on July 28, 2020, and went to the hospital on July 29, 2020, where she was tested for COVID-19. She was sent home with medication and instructed to quarantine for 14 days. On August 1, 2020, the employee was admitted to the Emergency Department and died on August 9, 2020, while in the hospital.
