Investigation Summary
At 9:00 p.m. on July 16, 2020, an employee who worked as a Vocational Nurse for an assisted living facility was reported hospitalized with COVID-19 due to respiratory failure. The employee provided medical care and personal services to facility residents. July 15, 2020, was the employee's last day of work. On July 19, 2020, the employee notifed the employer that she had been exposed to COVID-19. The employer reported there were no known COVID-19 infected patients at the facility at the time. On July 27, 2020, the employee was still in the hospital. The employer did not have Adequate Aerosol Transmissible Diseases policies and procedures in place.
