Employee with COVID-19 infection dies

On March 4, 2020, Employee # 1, a Certified Nursing Assistant, had completed in-service and had contact with COVID-19 positive patients. COVID-19 testing was not available in March, so the facility was following CDC guidance. If employees experienced any COVID-19 symptoms, the protocol was to stop work. Employee # 1 was at home with COVID-19 symptoms on May 20, 2020. On May 23, 2020, he was admitted to the hospital due to complications from COVID-19. He died on or about May 30, 2020.
