Investigation Summary
At 4:15 p.m. on July 6, 2020, a 36-year-old employee was working for a temporary staffing employment agency. He had been sent to work at a solid waste collection firm. This was his first day working for the solid waste collection firm. He was sitting on the passenger seat of a garbage truck. He told the driver that he wanted to quit the job, and then he fell asleep on the cabin passenger seat of the truck. He did not wake up. He was transported to a hospital. He was dead. The inspection report suggested that the fatality was heat-related. This was a multi-employer worksite. There were two inspections associated with this investigation.
