Employee is positive for COVID-19 infection, later dies

An employee worked as a site supervisor for a contracted cleaning company at a beef slaughter facility. On June 23, 2020, the employee was told to quarantine by the local health department for unspecified reasons (based upon the narrative, he may have been exposed to a COVID-19 positive individual). On June 28, 2020, the employee was tested for COVID-19 although he had no symptoms at that time. On or before July 2, 2020, the employee died at home. The employee had tested positive for COVID-19 but the cause of his death was undetermined at the time the narrative was written.
