Event: 04/12/2020
Employee with COVID-19 infection is hospitalized

Three employees were working as certified nursing assistants (CNAs) at skilled nursing facility. They contracted COVID-19, and they were hospitalized for COVID-19-related illnesses. One of the employees stated she was taking care of family members who had COVID-19 and that she probably contracted the virus from home, not work. This employee was hospitalized at 1:15 p.m. on April 12, 2020, and discharged on May 9, 2020. The employer did not think that this incident was work-related. The employer stated that she called multiple places previously, and nobody took her report.
