Employee falls from ladder, sustains head injury and fractur

At 8:15 a.m. on June 8, 2020, Employee #1 was working for a framing contractor. Employee #1 was installing wood framing around a second-floor window. Employee #1 used a discarded aluminum extension ladder to reach the second-floor level. The employer had their ladders stolen from the job site the prior week. The ladder used by Employee #1 was discarded because it was damaged. The aluminum ladder did not have any rubber pads on the feet of the ladder causing it to slide out from under Employee #1.
