Employee with COVID-19 infection dies

At 7:48 a.m. on April 30, 2020, an employee was a lab assistant. As part of her job duties she was to drew blood from two COVID-19 positive patients. When she became symptomatic on April 1, she was sent for testing and put on paid quarantine. Test was negative but symptoms progressed and presented to the AdventHealth Ocala ED on April 4, was tested again and admitted. The second test was positive. Her condition deteriorated and she was transferred to AdventHealth Waterman ICU on April 10 and stayed there until her death on April 30.
