Employee with COVID-19 infection dies

At approximately 2:00 a.m. on May 16, 2020, Employee #1 died from COVID-19. The employee, a Certified Nursing Assistant, cared for nursing facility patients who became COVID positive on April 17, 2020. The employee was tested negative on April 16, 2020, after some residents and employees became symptomatic of COVID-19. Testing results on April 17, 2020 revealed one coworker and four patients were positive. The employee was retested with positive results on April 28, 2020, after feeling symptoms, and was immediately admitted to the hospital. The last day the employee worked was April 25, 2020.
