Employee With Covd-19 Infection Is Hospitalized

In early March 2020, two patients were brought to the emergency room on differen t days because their breathing had stopped. Employee # 1 performed CPR on each o f the patients. She wore an N95 respirator and at least one of the patients wore a face covering, but the PPE moved chaotically during the CPR process. The pati ents were suspected to be infected with COVID-19, but the test for the virus was not yet available, so it could not be confirmed. Employee # 1 was exposed to th e coronavirus. She had no obvious community exposure. On August 9, 2020, Employ ee # 1 was hospitalized due to complications from COVID-19.
