Employee with COVID-19 infection dies

An employee was working in a call center for a firm that provided child support services. She worked in the call center up until May 5, 2020. On that day, she worked for approximately 45 minutes, before the center was closed for cleaning. Starting on May 6, 2020, she began to telework. She had begun to feel ill on May 5, 2020, and she was tested for COVID-19 on May 7, 2020. On May 10, 2020, the test results came back positive. She had contracted COVID-19. On the following day, May 11, 2020, she died of respiratory failure in a hospital. This was an OSHA-covered fatality.
