Investigation Summary
At approximately 3:19 p.m. on April 17, 2020, an employee worked in the Hematology and Oncology Unit as an LVN Discharge Advocate. The employee was exposed to an asymptomatic COVID-19 patient. The patient that the employee was exposed to on April 6, 2020, had been at the hospital for approximately 30-40 days prior. The patient had completed treatment at the hospital. The medical report indicates that the employee was transferred after developing severe symptoms due to COVID-19. The employee was discharged on July 2, 2020.
