Four employees with COVID-19 infection are hospitalized

Three employees who worked as Registered Nurses (RN) and two employees who worked in Law Enforcement at an acute care hospital had reportedly tested positive for COVID-19. Of those five employees, four were hospitalized. Employee #1 had worked as an RN in the Emergency Department and was reported positive for COVID-19 on March 28, 2020, at 3:38 a.m.. Employee #2 worked as an RN in the Operating Room, showed up to work with a cough, last worked on March 18, 2020, and was reported postive for COVID-19 on April 3, 2020, at 3:18 p.m. Employee #3 worked as an RN in the Medical Surgery Department and was reported positive for COVID-19 on April 3, 2020, at 3:24 p.m. All three employees were hospitalized, but their hospitalization dates are not indicated in the narrative. In addtion, Employee #4 and Employee #5 who worked in Law Enforcement were reported positive for COVID-19. Employee #4 required hospitalization, but details are not indicated in the narrative. The employer did not have Adequate Aerosol Transmissible Diseases policies and procedures in place.
