ON MAY 9, 1984, AT APROXITMATELY 6:05 AM, EMPLOYEE #1 WAS PREPARING 4 STEAM BOILERS FOR OPERATION AT THE CANNERY. WHILE TRAVELING FROM BOILER NO.1 TO BOILER NO.4, MAKING VARIOUS BOILER ADJUSTMENTS AT GROUND LEVEL, EMPLOYEE #1 COLLAPSED ON THE CONCRETE FLOOR IN FRONT OF BOILER NO.3. CPR WAS APPLIED UNTIL THE AMBULANCE ARRIVED. EMPLOYEE #1 WAS TRANSPORTED TO THE HOSPITAL, WHERE HE WAS PRONOUNCED DEAD.
