Employee amputates fingers while using meat saw

At 7:30 a.m. on December 21, 2019, an employee was cutting a pig's foot with a meat saw. The employee was cutting the piece of meat and was distracted by a customer when he was being asked a question. The employee turned his head for a moment and then the piece of the meat turned and forced the employee's fingers into the path of the saw blade and amputated his fingers on his left hand. His upper inner arm received a laceration as well, due to the action and reflex on leaning forward. The employee was hospitalized for treatment.
