Investigation Summary
At approximately 3:00 a.m. on January 28, 2020, Employee #1, a maintenance employee, was inspecting the J7 curing press. The employee was working alone and drilling out vents in the press, which were plugged. The employee was found by quality control employees with his upper half of his body inside the press which had closed and trapped the employee. The employee died from his injuries. Note: The narrative also indicated a time of 8:43 a.m as the event time. It is not clear which one is the correct time of the event.
