Employee Is Killed In Fall While Pressure Washing Tractor Tr

At 3:30 p.m. on October 1, 2019, Employee #1 was pressure washing the exterior o f a tractor trailer, using a 9 foot 10 inch mobile ladder stand. His employer ma nufactured their own mobile ladder stand platform. The wheel casters on the plat form were not capable of locking. The guard rail system of the stand was missing the mid rail and the stairway hand rails were only on one side of the platform. Employee #1 set down the pressure washing gun and climbed down the ladder stand . As he descended, he fell, striking his head on the concrete, killing him. Ther e were no eye witnesses to the fall.
