Employee's fingers are lacerated while clearing jam

At 12:30 a.m. on July 30, 2019, an employee was attempting to clear a jam. The employee failed to perform lockout/tag out before opening the fixed, barrier guard and inserting his left hand. This happened on Liquid Line #2, m/n 170. The employee suffered lacerations to the fingers on his left hand. The employee was hospitalized to treat the lacerations.
