Investigation Summary
On July 19, 2019, Employee #1 and a coworker, employed by a kitchen counter fabricator, were working in the employer's holding yard. They were handling granite slabs when a large slab fell onto Employee #1. Emergency services transported Employee #1 to the hospital, where he was admitted and treated for crushing injuries including severe trauma and hemorrhaging of internal organs. Employee #1 died.
