Investigation Summary
At 08:50 a.m. on July 13, 2019, an employee was working with a coworker to move/relocate a pear tub. The employee and coworker unplugged the power source to the pear tub in order to reposition the tub. Once it was repositioned, they plugged the power back in and then the employee decided the tub had to be moved over a little bit more so without unplugging the power. The employee grabbed the base of the tub and his finger got caught in the spinning wheel under the tub, amputating the right middle fingertip. The employee was treated without hospitalization.
