Employee amputates finger when pinched between couplings

At 6:15 a.m. on May 20, 2019, an employee was assembling pipe fittings using an automatic bolting machine. The employee was assembling a coupling when his finger was caught between the parts when he screwed them together. When the employee pulled his finger out from the pinch point, the tip of his finger was pulled off. The employee was hospitalized to treat the amputation.
