Employee amputates thumb tip when struck by equipment

At approximately 4:00 p.m. on April 19, 2019, an employee was operating sit-down cleaning machine to clean shop floors. The employee used the machine to push a heavy metal cart out of his way. The cart pinched his right thumb, and the employee sustained a partial fingertip amputation. The employee was treated but was not hospitalized.
