Investigation Summary
At approximately 12:00 p.m. on April 19, 2019, an employee was operating a Hobart meat tenderizer to process cube steaks. The employee was processing cube steaks through an unguarded Hobart meat tenderizer when the glove on the left hand was caught at the point of operation. The machine pulled the employee's hand into the tenderizer shafts. The employee was transported to the hospital. The employee suffered from a traumatic amputation to the left ring finger, lacerations, and multiple dislocated fingers. The employee was hospitalized.
