Employee amputates two fingers when caught in planer feeder

At 1:10 p.m. on September 19, 2018, an employee was feeding lumber through a planer and put his hand into the roller feeder to retrieve a sliver of wood. The employee amputated two fingers when the roller was activated and closed on his right hand. The employee was hospitalized.
