At 7:45 a.m. on December 15, 2018, an employee was vacuuming leaves when the vacuum jammed. The employee tried to clear the jam without deenergizing it and caught his right hand and arm within the machine. The employee sustained multiple fractures and lacerations, and amputated his index finger. The employee was hospitalized.
