Investigation Summary
On November 1, 2018, an employee working at a grocery store deli, clocked out at approximately 7:30 p.m.for either a break or her lunch. At approximately 8:00 p.m., another employee found the employee sitting at the picnic table in the break area outside the building, but leaned back against the building and unresponsive. This employee summoned management who performed CPR until EMTs arrived and took over. The employee was hospitalized, but died either on November 7, 2018 (per a funeral home notice) or November 9, 2018 (per Kroger). The cause of death was likely due to a cardiovascular event.
