Investigation Summary
At 10:00 a.m. on November 14, 2018, an employee installed metal gutters on a three-story residential building under construction. The employee stood on the top level of a three-level scaffold and received a forty-two foot long section of metal gutter from a coworker to install. At some point, the gutter made contact with a 12 KV electrical wire and shocked the employee. The employee fell from the scaffold, shirt on fire, and landed on a lower level. The employee was hospitalized to treat the multiple second and third degree burns over the employee's body.
