Investigation Summary
At 4:00 p.m. on October 27, 2018, Employee #1 was working from a ladder trimming trees and shrubs. a private roadway. He was standing near the top of a 12 foot portable A Frame ladder and using both hands to operate a pole saw. As he completed a cut on a branch, the branch fell to the ground and then struck the ladder. This knocked him from the ladder to the asphalt roadway below causing him to fracture his vertebrae and sustain contusions. The employee was hospitalized.
