Employee'S Hand Is Caught In Ink Rollers And Incurs Partial

At 3:15 p.m. on October 25, 2018, Employee #1 identified a quality issue with on e of the four ink rollers on the SOS Press Machine, Number 142. Per normal pract ice, the employee opened the guard for the ink roller and proceeded to use a wir e brush and cleaning solution to clean the surfaces of the ink rollers while the machine was running in normal production mode and speed. The employee fell towa rds the unguarded ink roller, and tried to catch herself with her right hand. H er right hand became caught in the ingoing nip point of the ink rollers, resulti ng in a the partial degloving of the right hand. Employee #1 was hospitalized fo r treatment.
