Investigation Summary
At 11:45 a.m. on September 27, 2018, an employee was operating a DoBoy Wrapper Machine on the B side of Line 9 while wrapping cookies and crackers. The employee used her left hand to hold the cello and feed it into the crimping wheels so that the cello would align properly. The employee looked away from the machine while making a run and degloved and amputated her left hand's index fingertip when it was caught in the nip point. The employee was hospitalized.
