Employee fractures back when struck by crane leg

At 10:00 a.m. on August 24, 2018, Employee #1 and a coworker, employed by a construction company, were working at the demolition of a three-story commercial building. They were disassembling a gantry crane when one leg of the crane collapsed and struck Employee #1's back. The crane was being supported by a hand-operated easy lift and did not fall. Emergency services transported Employee #1 to the hospital, where he was admitted and treated for multiple fractures.
